Exhibition ‘Tussenwerelden’

What happens when age-old craftsmanship is reimagined through the lens of tomorrow? This spring, Zuidervermaning at Westzaan invites you to step into Tussenwerelden (Between Worlds), a collaborative exhibition by Rein-Willem Gloudemans (NL) and Sabin Kech (CH).

Tussenwerelden is a visual exploration of “liminality”, that quiet, mysterious space between what we know and what we can only imagine. By merging the tactile traditions of scenography and textile art with the boundless possibilities of Artificial Intelligence, the artists have created a series of dreamlike scenes that blur the lines between the tangible past and a digital future.

While the foundation of their work is rooted in physical craft, the final images offer something entirely new. You’ll encounter landscapes that feel strangely familiar yet utterly surreal worlds, where the rough texture of fabric and wood takes on a new dimension.

A Historic Setting
There is no better place for this dialogue than the historic interior of De Zuidervermaning. The building’s centuries-old character provides a grounded backdrop to these high-tech visions, making the “in-between” feel even more present.
